Every child learns differently. Some students thrive in a traditional school environment, whilst others benefit from a more personalised approach through home education, online learning or additional educational support.

Finding an online tutor who understands your child’s curriculum can be difficult. Finding one who also understands ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, confidence challenges and individual learning differences can be even more challenging.

Kite Tutoring is the online division of Bedford Tutor. For over ten years, we have been providing specialist online learning support for students aged 5 to 16 across the UK and around the world, delivering personalised one-to-one tuition that helps learners grow in confidence and achieve their potential.

Founded by Annabel Walker, Kite Tutoring benefits from over fourteen years of educational experience supporting children and young people with a wide range of learning needs, abilities and backgrounds. As someone with ADHD herself, Annabel brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to her work, helping students feel understood, valued and supported.

We support school students, home-educated learners, neurodivergent students and children who simply benefit from a personalised approach to learning. Our aim is to build confidence, develop skills and help learners reach their potential in a way that works for them. ↑ Back to top

A typical online lesson is carefully planned around your child’s individual needs, interests, confidence and learning goals. We might begin by talking about something they have been learning recently before moving into a new activity, using a mixture of discussion, games, visual resources, interactive activities and practical challenges. Topics can be chosen around your child’s interests, from animals, dinosaurs and space to history, nature, science, art, stories and the world around us, giving us plenty of opportunities to make learning meaningful and engaging. We can also use seasonal events, current interests and child-led ideas to provide a fresh context for learning and encourage curiosity. Sessions are flexible enough to revisit areas that need more practice while allowing children to explore ideas at their own pace. The aim is to create enjoyable, purposeful online learning that builds skills, confidence and a genuine enthusiasm for discovering new things.
