Strong literacy skills are the foundation for success across the curriculum. We provide personalised Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 English tuition for children aged 5 to 11, available online and in person, helping them develop confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning. Rather than relying on repetitive worksheets or simply preparing for assessments, our lessons focus on building secure foundations in reading, writing, spelling and communication, closing gaps in understanding and nurturing confident, capable learners. Lessons are carefully tailored to each child’s age, ability and learning style, ensuring they receive the right balance of support and encouragement to thrive.

Many of the children we support have ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism and other special educational needs or disabilities (SEND). With over fourteen years of experience working with neurodivergent learners, we understand that children learn differently. Rather than expecting children to fit a particular teaching method, we adapt our lessons to suit the individual, using creative, engaging and personalised approaches that build confidence alongside academic skills. Lessons focus on developing early reading, phonics, spelling, handwriting, vocabulary, grammar, punctuation and simple writing, helping children gain confidence through understanding rather than memorisation.

Through engaging, interactive activities, we encourage children to develop a love of books, language and storytelling while building the confidence to communicate their ideas clearly. Lessons are adapted to suit each child’s stage of development, ensuring they feel successful while making steady, meaningful progress.

Rather than rushing through the curriculum, we carefully identify and address gaps in learning, allowing children to build secure foundations before moving on to new skills. 📚 Key Stage Two English Tuition

Our specialist Key Stage 2 English tuition helps children strengthen the literacy skills needed for the later years of primary school while developing the confidence to become independent readers, writers and critical thinkers. Lessons focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, punctuation, creative writing and non-fiction writing, alongside speaking and listening skills that support learning across the curriculum.

Rather than simply preparing children for SATs or practising test questions, we prioritise building secure literacy foundations and developing a genuine understanding of language.
