⭐️ Helping Young Writers Find Their Voice

Creative writing gives children the opportunity to express their ideas, explore their imagination and develop confidence as writers. At Bedford Tutor and our online division, Kite Tutoring, we provide personalised one-to-one creative writing tuition for children aged 5 to 14 in Bedford and online for learners aged 5-16 across the UK and internationally. Whether your child enjoys creating stories, needs support developing their writing skills or would benefit from greater confidence when putting ideas onto paper, lessons are carefully tailored to their age, ability and interests. By encouraging creativity alongside strong literacy foundations, we help children become thoughtful, expressive and independent writers who enjoy writing for both school and personal enjoyment.

Strong creative writing skills support much more than storytelling. They help children organise their thoughts, communicate effectively, expand their vocabulary and develop the confidence to express themselves clearly across all areas of the curriculum. *Subject to availability. Following the initial trial lesson, future sessions are usually booked in blocks of five† to support continuity and sustained progress.
Payments from non-UK bank accounts incur an additional administration fee of £1 to £2 for each lesson to cover international payment processing costs.
For students aged 11+, 45-minute lessons may be available at selected times.
†Students in Years 10–11/Grades 9–10 are offered sessions on a weekly booking basis rather than in blocks of five. This approach provides greater flexibility around school commitments, examinations and changing schedules, helping lessons remain calm, supportive and responsive to each student’s needs.

✏️ Creative Writing for Primary Students

For younger learners, creative writing is about building confidence while developing the essential skills needed for successful writing. Through engaging activities, imaginative prompts and personalised guidance, children learn how to create memorable characters, exciting settings and well-structured stories whilst developing vocabulary, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure naturally within their writing.
