Here is our new logo - hand drawn on my graphics tablet - to reflect the core ideologies of Bedford Tutor.
The bird symbolises our three important beliefs: imagination, inspiration, innovation.
Our new slogan: 'Aiming for the sky; together we will fly' follows the bird theme and brings out what it truly means to run a tuition business. All my students are taught to aim high (Aiming for the sky) and the sky is the ultimate paradise for those who want to spread their wings. 'Together we will fly' shows the importance of the 'student-tutor' working-relationship and also shows how, when working together, the tutor always benefits in learning just as much as the student!
With everything else having a 'bird' theme and, after seeing the business progress over the past few months, a slight change has been made to ensure everything fits together perfectly!
The name 'Centauri' has been dropped as many younger children find it hard to remember and it also doesn't resonate with the rest of Bedford Tutor (which is avian-themed). In its place, we have three groups: Chaffinches (Nursery and Reception); Greenfinches (Key Stage One); and Goldfinches (Key Stage Two). There will be regular prizes for each finch group and, hopefully, all children will feel as though they are part of 'a learning team'!
Yesterday, we officially opened 'The Dove Garden' which will allow us to integrate fun outdoor activities into lessons. The garden has strawberries; many different herbs and flowers; and we'll be growing sunflowers very soon!
Educationally, the outdoors is a great place to learn and The Dove Garden is already very popular with the children that have seen, and learnt, outside!
We have sand games, a water wall, pavement chalks, seedlings and three different bug hotels!
Let's hope the British weather improves so we can do more out here in the coming weeks!
More pictures coming soon...
