We are now into the seventh week of 'Massive & Minute' and, so far, work has been fantastic!
We've learnt how to spell some tricky high-frequency words by using mnemonics and (my personal favourite) by spelling them out using wooden blocks. Our 'Colossal Castles & Teeny Treasures' week saw some stupendous writing and I had to share the beautiful rainbow castle created by one of my most talented artists! Half term was dedicated to 'Fun Science' and one lucky girl (pictured) investigated how ink separates into different pigments using chromatography, and made some fun salt-dough models. Mathematics mastery continues to be fun and this half term we have already built - and measured - a staggeringly tall tower and learnt how to use building blocks in practical maths work. Onwards and upwards as we look towards spring and the re-opening of The Dove Garden!
Bedford Tutor's project weeks help inspire pupils by blending subjects to create interest. In our lessons, your child will learn core literacy and numeracy skills whilst discovering fascinating facts about science, history, geography and other subjects! We have found children learn most effectively when they are inspired and learning thematically ensures children are ready to learn and improve.
